Free Forex Backtesting — No Code Required

You do not need to write code, buy MetaTrader plugins, or export spreadsheets to find out whether a forex strategy ever worked. ForexEdge runs backtests in your browser against years of historical candles: choose a strategy template (RSI mean-reversion, MACD crossover, Bollinger bounce, and others), set your stop loss, take profit and filters, and run.

What a free backtest gives you

Why "no code" matters less than "no lies"

Plenty of tools will backtest without code. The harder problem is a backtest you can trust. ForexEdge's engine follows one law without exception: it never looks forward. Signals, stops and trend structure are computed only from candles that had already closed — the same information you would have had trading live. And because a single engine's opinion is still just one opinion, every strategy can be exported as a TradingView Pine Script and re-run on TradingView's independent tester; ForexEdge then compares the two trade lists and awards a parity badge only when they match trade for trade. If a strategy's results cannot be reproduced on a second engine, you deserve to know that before you trade it.

How to start (three steps)

  1. Create a free account at forexedge.app.
  2. Open the Strategy Builder, pick a template and a currency pair, and adjust the rules — every parameter is a form field, not a line of code.
  3. Run the backtest and read the results critically: look at the losing streaks and the drawdown first, not the profit.

New to the concept? Start with what backtesting is and what it can honestly tell you. Want to practice execution rather than test rules? That is a different tool — see forex trading simulators.

Test it instead of trusting it.

ForexEdge backtests forex strategies without code, verifies them trade-for-trade against TradingView, and tracks live results against the tested expectation.
